What you'll accomplish
Checking and adjusting Amazon PPC bids by hand, keyword by keyword, campaign by campaign, is one of those tasks that quietly eats an evening every week once you're running more than a handful of campaigns. Helium 10's Adtomic tool connects to your Seller Central account and adjusts bids toward a target ad cost of sale (ACoS) automatically, so your ad spend keeps working while you're doing everything else the business needs.
What you'll need
What you should see: A Helium 10 dashboard with a menu of tools, including Adtomic in the advertising section. Troubleshooting: If you don't see Adtomic listed, confirm your plan actually includes it. Some entry-level tiers focus on keyword research tools only.
What you should see: Your existing Amazon PPC campaigns listed inside Adtomic's Ad Manager after the sync completes. Troubleshooting: If campaigns don't appear right away, give the initial sync time; a first full sync can take longer than later updates.
What you should see: Each campaign showing a target ACoS and budget field, ready for automation to reference. Troubleshooting: If you're not sure what ACoS to target, calculate your break-even ACoS first: your product's profit margin before ad spend is roughly the ceiling you can afford to spend on ads and still profit.
What you should see: A status indicator showing automation is active, with bids beginning to adjust based on daily performance data. Troubleshooting: Bid changes are not instant. Expect the system to take several days of live data before adjustments stabilize toward your target.
What you should see: A performance report showing spend, sales, and ACoS trend over the past week, alongside any bid changes Adtomic made. Troubleshooting: Some sellers report Adtomic's suggestion panel updating more slowly than Amazon's own reporting. If the two disagree, trust Seller Central's numbers for anything you're using to make a real decision.
Adtomic works through dashboard settings rather than typed prompts, but these are the decisions worth writing down before you turn automation on:
Campaign: [name]
Product profit margin before ad spend: [%]
Target ACoS: [set below your margin, leaving room for profit after the ad spend]
Daily budget cap: [$ amount you're comfortable losing on a bad day before checking in]
Weekly review checklist:
1. Compare Adtomic's reported ACoS against Amazon Seller Central's Campaign Manager for the same date range
2. Note any campaign where actual spend is trending 20%+ above target ACoS for more than 3 days running
3. Decide: let automation keep adjusting, or pause and review the listing/keywords manually
